FUSING ART AND CULTURE
The Amazon Cry Foundation is not just about the serious themes
of deforestation, global warming, the threat to indigenous
communities, unconscious consumer habits and so on - no -
it's also about raising the awareness of these important issues
by engaging people in activities that celebrate and value LIFE!
At our first major event, a Brazilian Night, held at Blackpool's
Savoy Hotel, we welcomed over 250 people to watch and to
participate in dancing a range of Brazilian and Latin
dance styles. There was also a Batala band to lift the
energies, too. We would like to thank local photographer,
Jan Goss MA, BA[Hons], Dip.H.E.,
who was there to capture some wonderful images from the evening.
Bringing people together to celebrate life through such activities
can inspire personal changes in consumer habits.
